This map shows those territories where the number of residents taking foreign holidays outweighs the number of international tourists visiting. The map is dominated by Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Malaysia and Poland. German residents make 70.7 million tourists trips per year, but only 18.4 million international tourist trips are made to Germany: the net out-tourism for Germany is therefore 52.3 million visits. Residents of Western and Eastern European territories together constitute over two-thirds of the net out-tourists in the world. |
